Railroad Tycoon

Post by scooter »

Elsewhere, @CrazyCraftLady made mention of "Choo-Choo Commando", her affectionate name for Railroad Tycoon, which she played so much of once upon a time that I got her an old-timey engineer hat to wear while she did. Seems there are five versions: RT, RT Deluxe, RT II, RT 3, and Sid Meier's Railroads!, because, yes, Sid had to have his name on stuff. She wondered if they were on Steam; I'd be surprised if they weren't...
This has been another bit of brain shrapnel from...

Yup. It was an awesome game, enough so to be risky for a video game addicted.

My brother actually worked on Sid's Railroads! while he interned at Firaxis during the summer in his undergrad. One of the towns is named after him, apparently.
