It’s pretty much a given that we are not alone in the Universe, especially with Countless galaxies each containing stars and planets. That being said, I don’t think encountering aliens is very likely, especially when it is likely that they would be hundreds or thousands of light years away.
I don’t think interstellar travel is practical, despite it being common in sci-fi media.

I’m not sure about that. I doubt intergalactic travel is possible, for a variety of reasons, but I’m more optimistic about interstellar travel.Random American wrote:It’s pretty much a given that we are not alone in the Universe, especially with Countless galaxies each containing stars and planets. I never said interstellar travel was impossible, but rather impractical. It would only be practical for nearby star systems while ones more distant would probably still take centuries to get to even if one came up with a sneaky way to go faster than the speed of light/warp drive.CrazyCraftLady wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 2:21 amI’m not sure about that. Absolutely, but even access to a single viable planet would be a huge deal.Random American wrote:I never said interstellar travel was impossible, but rather impractical.
