Resurrected once again because of course YT is continuing their BS.

And now a brief :flame: moment on :soapbox: :

This is why you don't want tech companies determining what free speech is! Yes, it's lovely to have idiots like Donald Trump silenced, but it always will come back to bite you when you put speech up for sale. Right now, having a voice that matters relies on one of two things: 1) being outrageous or 2) having money. This is why you are not hearing anything right now from reasonable points of view; it is why we as a government and as a society are not able to promote common sense changes or reforms - and right now, thanks to the clickbait/techbro confluence, and its champions on both the left and the right, there is no way out of this vortex of stupid.

And yet more YouTube idiocy. Anybody else dealing with this right now? Do we know the cause?

These people are begging to be competed out of business. The only reason they haven't is because the Republocrats have destroyed anti-trust law.

Never seen that before but from a quick Google, I see a reference on Reddit and 4chan.

Predictably, the 4chan one is useless but the Reddit thread talks about adblockers. I have YouTube whitelisted for my adblocker so that might be why I haven't seen it. I am seeing a lot of mixed results from various fixes which probably means it's on YouTube's end. Various fixes I have seen: turn off adblock, try a VPN, turn off your VPN, clear your cache, use Firefox instead of Chrome, etc.

I watch a crapload of YouTube so I'm nervous about this.

Using Firefox now and I don't have an Adblock installed. VPN'ed around it the first time, but it kept doing it the second. Right now I'm logged out (still over the VPN) and am getting what I need fine.

This is absolutely preposterous.

This goes to support that it's on their end.

Have any of you gotten the new YouTube layout yet? It's horrible, and there isn't a way to disable it if your account is unlucky enough to be selected for the experiment.

Yeah, I've got it. It's definitely not great.

Basically swaps the video section on the right and everything under the video. It's hideous.
