London's latitude

If the latitude of London (51.5°N) was extended across the ocean to North America, it wouldn't intersect any cities of any appreciable size, traveling instead through Labrador and northern Quebec! Europe in general is much farther north as a whole than North America in terms of habitability...

It can be hard to visualize in one's head what is on what latitude. I know I have problems visualizing it sometimes which is why maps are so handy. Like realizing how far south Hawaii is because most maps of the USA put it in as a separate bordered image.
