London's latitude

Post by atomictrivia »

If the latitude of London (51.5°N) was extended across the ocean to North America, it wouldn't intersect any cities of any appreciable size, traveling instead through Labrador and northern Quebec! :???: Europe in general is much farther north as a whole than North America in terms of habitability... :facts:

It can be hard to visualize in one's head what is on what latitude. I know I have problems visualizing it sometimes which is why maps are so handy. Like realizing how far south Hawaii is because most maps of the USA put it in as a separate bordered image.
