This one absolutely marinates in its nostalgia factor, right down to the speechifying done by Captain Pike. Spock is around, as is Kirk's older brother, Uhura is a cadet, Chapel and M'Benga are running sickbay, etc.
It's sweet, it's unsophisticated in many ways, it's fairly well acted all around.
