Wendigoon and the Conspiracy Iceberg
I'm working my way through this series on YT and it's fairly entertaining, if of course you find loopy stuff like this "entertaining". It's pretty obvious, even though the host is playing it straight, that he believes none of it. His delivery is kind of flat, but he's coming at it from a researching PoV. I don't like that he wraps gnosticism in with some of it, but then again, he doesn't know about us, and really, gnosticism is claimed by all kinds of unhinged idiots, as it gives theories that wonderfully spooky, esoteric cachet. (I did leave a comment explaining that we don't actually believe in any of that.)

So you're comfortable in speaking for other gnostics?scooter wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 12:24 pm I'm working my way through this series on YT and it's fairly entertaining, if of course you find loopy stuff like this "entertaining". Re: Wendigoon and the Conspiracy Iceberg
As much as anyone else, I guess. Gnosticism didn't and doesn't have the "authority" behind it as the Catholic Church became, and furthermore it emphasized individual experience in its doctrine, so maybe that means I'm not exactly Teh Expert, but then, you can't exactly say I'm invalid in my studies. I will be taking the ULC's Gnosticism course at some point in the near future (as I have alluded to in the Religion and Philosophy forum).CrazyCraftLady wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 12:03 pm

I've been watching a lot more of his channel lately. I'm more into his analysis of analog horror but he is great at covering a lot of topics.

Yeah, he's interesting...straightforward and prosaic in his descriptions, and has a background in Christian religious education, but he also seems to really love the topics and want to give them as much of an unslanted view as possible.WolfofWords wrote: ↑Mon Jul 25, 2022 5:43 pm I've been watching a lot more of his channel lately. Some more detail on similarly weird content from a different YTer.
