Printer ink is incredibly expensive

Post by Space Ghost »

:rage:

Yeah, the big companies are absolutely getting away with Martin Shkreli-style price gouging when it comes to inkjet printers.

I've posted here before about how to circumvent this. They don't make it easy. This needs someone to investigate it...not that anyone is going to. The tech companies buy politicians the same as any other industry. :money:

Yeah, I don't know why they make it so expensive. When I move house in about a month, we're getting a Toner printer (probably)

That's one of the reasons we went to a Toner printer as well. We hardly print & it was quite annoying when inkjet would get dried up. We tried refurbished inks but found out Samsung, bought by HP, has some code now that prevents people from using anything other than 'their' brand.
It's not only expensive but not eco-friendly. Some places DO recycle ink cartridges but most people don't consider that option.

Both Target and Staples stores will accept ink cartridges for recycling. Usually there is a bin for these towards the front of the store.
