The Brita vodka filter trick

Post by scooter »

Has anybody tried the trick of putting a cheap vodka - Kamchatka or such - through a new Brita water filter? Supposedly the resulting drink is indistinguishable from high-end vodkas. I'll try and find the online references.

@CrazyCraftLady has branded this as "the tip to have for booze during the zombie apocalypse". Silly woman. You don't put vodka in a zombie. :cthulhu:

I remember when Mythbusters tried a charcoal filter. It passed the double blind taste test but they found no chemical difference between filtered and unfiltered cheap stuff.

So sad to say this myth is busted but feel free to do your own vigorous testing. :drink:

Clearly, more drinking is in order to properly verify all of the results. :drink:
