Wow...this is pretty amazing. This artist, State Azure, just came out with an album of Tangerine Dream covers. Listen to what he does with "Love on a Real Train" - yes, that one, from Risky Business.

State Azure has just dropped another single. This one is very sequencer-heavy, not like the ambient stuff he has been producing lately. It's not bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFjKtRuEGws 8-)

Another from State Azure, "Eyes of the Moon". Big Blade Runner vibe to start this one, but it evolves into some funkiness around 12:30. Six minutes later and you're into some Jean Michel Jarre territory. It's pretty neat.

I think this is the first one where you actually get to see him perform the music - not just as a disembodied hand.



Not bad at all. I'm not a big fan of the "glitchy" parts of electronic ambient, but this is thankfully kept to a minimum. Somebody in the comments mentioned Moondawn by Klaus Schulze, and there are some similarities there, although that was now -- wait, over forty years ago??

This is just something SA did to test out some presets that the synth manufacturer came up with. Pretty astonishing results. I've been playing it ever since.
