Here's a weird find: Molchat Doma (yes, that is how it's pronounced in English), a Russian late-80s-sounding post-punk group. Their stuff is uptempo and has some neat and slightly dark lyrics, if you speak Russian. The juxtaposition of the slightly existentially depressive lyrics with the synthetic driving dance beat is complex and fun.
ETA: There's a strong resemblance to Statues in Motion, the 80s Greek band which has been, rightly or wrongly, linked to The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet.
