Butt Rock

Butt Rock is a genre that recently comes up and like "Yacht Rock" is a somewhat obscure genre. It refers to a collection of post-grunge bands that tried to imitate the edgy sound of bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam. The term is said to come from radio station promos where they say they play "Rock. Nothing but rock."
