Edge of Seventeen

Post by scooter »

Wait..."Edge of Seventeen" is some life-changing rock ballad that future generations have revered?

Guys, you do realize that there was an "Edge of Seventeen" being made every ten minutes during the 1980s and no one thought any different about it? You're not paying attention to "Landslide" or "Rhiannon"? Those aren't the ones you think are life-changing?

Hell, you do realize that "Green Grass and High Tides" was a thing, yes? Nothing special about "Free Bird" or "Stairway..."? I mean, by Ghod, yes, Stevie was female, but so were the Wilson sisters and they did it first? Or if you don't dig that, how about this? Nothing, huh? We're gonna skip this and the next eight years and go with "Edge of Seventeen"?

What exactly is up with you people??

I don't even understand what the article is trying to say. It reads kind of like white noise to me.

It also goes into the whole story about where the song title came from even though the song ended up being about something else entirely.

I really did and still do love Heart is my takeaway here.
