Re: Scottie Scheffler wins the Masters for the 2nd time
Wait just a minute - was it true that Scheffler's wife was about to go into labor with their first child at the next loud sneeze, and he was going to immediately pack in the Masters - that he was winning - and go be with her for the birth?
First of all, good for him; that's absolutely what you should do. Second of all, how the hell does this guy concentrate on golf when that is happening?

I guess because he has to. I assume his wife gave her blessing which probably fueled his drive a lot.scooter wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 1:32 am Wait just a minute - was it true that Scheffler's wife was about to go into labor with their first child at the next loud sneeze, and he was going to immediately pack in the Masters - that he was winning - and go be with her for the birth?

Apparently, she is due at the end of the month, which is still well within the realm of possibility that she might have gone into labor at any time.WolfofWords wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:53 pmI guess because he has to. And yes, you do what you have to...but it's pretty remarkable how well he was able to keep his cool. One sportswriter compared him to Roger Federer...that same absolutely unflappable exterior.
