Re: Do you use your CD/DVD drive?
I replaced my computer over a year ago, and I don't think I've used the drive in that entire time. I do have old DVDs that I haven't watched in ages. When I finally use the drive it will probably be to 'rip' them to file...

My husband does for his CDs. But for some reason, we can't play DVDs on this new computer. The settings prohibit it. It's quite annoying. We do have a DVD player hooked up to our TV but sometimes I want to just see if something is playable. Since I have the computer on anyways, it's just easier to play it on here as a test.

You might give a try to VLC Media Player. It's an open source solution for media playback and has a very large number of plug-ins and codecs for customization options.ZandraJoi wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 10:41 am My husband does for his CDs.
